Teamwork is very important

Teamwork is one of the most important qualities you could every have, Not only can you be more productive as a team but you can rely on and support each other. When i did my Prince’s Trust Course. I met a who range of people in the space of a week and during the second week I found myself in a position where I just had to work as a team to complete the tasks that had be set for the week. Even today the things I learnt on that course has helped me develop myself and utilise my self more effectively in and out of work situations.

There is no I in team When working in a team it is very important that you work at the same pace as you can burn yourself out. If you see one of your team members falling behind whether it be with paperwork or if your on a mountain climbing to the summit. By supporting each other though the harder times not only with you become better acquainted you will gain the trust and respect of the people in your group.

Team Building One of the best ways to kick start a team is to get involved or take part in Team Building activities whilst i was on Prince’s Trust Residential trip we had lots of team building tasks. One of my favourite ones was a task that had two of our team tied together by one are and a leg and both of them blind folded. The remaining team members then had to help them navigate to an item collect it and return safely. We weren’t allowed to move with them or touch them we could only use our voices.

Training and My New Job

Howdy Peeps, As you may know I’ve recently started my new job but before i can start working with the adults and people that ill be helping, I have to go though a large amount of training which is why i haven’t been very active on here as my busy work schedule has been very hard to fit me time into. I had Induction Training last week which was more of an overview about the Training that is due to follow. Today i finish a two day course on “Personal Centred Thinking” this course was very much what it says on the tin. How to centre a plan based on a persons individual needs and wants. I used a few tools on myself and found them very helpful for example, a One Page Profile Which you can find Here if you would like to take a look. these are very easy to understand. highlighting points about me as a person without to much detail or information. How you can support, The kinds of things I like doing and what other people Admire about me. For more information about creating your own One Page Profile’s Click Here. Peace Out Peeps

Life is about Choice

Hey All, so this week I’ve not been very active on here, As I’ve been busy with work and training. You may or may not know I started a new job this week which involves working with disabled individuals in the wider community. this could mean helping them do day to day tasks. My official job title is Community Enabler which could mean quite literally anything that enables someone to do something moderately different. I still to this day ask myself how i got to where i am today and the closest answer i could come to that makes sense is Choice. Throughout life you will always have choice, without it where would we be? Choices build pathways and connections that will intern either get you what you are working towards or help you gain a little more experience in the area of work you wish to pursue as a career. One of the things that helped me get to my community enabling role, was the one of my references which i gained back in 2010  when i came out of a four year voluntary placement at Calvert Trust. It was my experience at Calvert Trust that helped me decide how i wanted to structure my life. On Wednesday i had to turn down a position for PGL which is an outdoor pursuits company that owns a number of branches all over Europe, I made the right choice for now but what will next year bring. only time will tell…….

P.S. Choices…….

“KONY 2012″ People are now paying attention

Today Part 2 of the KONY 2012 Series came out, People are paying attention Invisible Children have got the message across and have now been backed by bigger outside firms to support the cause. This time last month no one knew who or what Joseph Kony and his men represented or what they where doing. Well now everyone knows Invisible Children have been inundated with support from all over the globe. Every living soul on the planet has rights to be defended against the worst crimes, First protected by thier countries and continents, and then protected globally by the united nation.

In my last post about KONY 2012 I expressed my opinion about my support for the campaign over the past month I’ve been reading a lot more into the reasoning of KONY 2012. And the continued support of millions. What will you be doing on April the 20th? And have you got yourself a KONY support pack yet? Mine will be on order when they are available again.

Joseph Kony and his men are still holding hundreds of men women and children captive. The LRA is a Highly mobile highly trained rebel group with no achievable political goal. Together we can show the people who suffer from the LRA and Kony a life of peace and tranquillity. We will not dismiss the problems of our friends simply because they are not our own, we dont live like this anymore. because stopping injustice in the word is far more difficult than stopping Kony. Our liberty is bound together across the world and this is where we make a stand.

LETS STOP KONY, BY ANY MEANS
